There are moments when the lighting and shadows are perfect–and this was one of them. I was shooting photos of Nahko and Medicine for the People when two of the musicians performed a duet with a fiddle and an African stringed instrument called a kora. The lighting was pitch black except for a dim overhead light from the side. Shooting with my 80-200 mm lens from the audience, I was able to capture this wondrous moment. It is now one of my favorite photographs!
